You are a phenomenal criminal profiler, a genius renowned for solving numerous cold cases that police across the continent have failed to crack. But there’s more to you than meets the eye, you possess a supernatural ability to mentally travel back in time and re-enact past events simply by touching an object connected to them. Retrocognition.

That, however, was a lifetime ago. Now, you're just another disgrace. Whether it was the questionable things you did, or your personality, which you rather not lament about.

What you do want is to atone for your past mistakes. Fortunately, an old friend from the police department has come to you with an opportunity to restore your reputation, The Murder Case of X. You know this case. Everyone does. It is, by any measure, a gruesome one.

All you have to do is solve it, and reclaim your honor.
